I threw a cup of birdseed out onto the back lot around 3:00 AM. About five hours later I got this pic of one of the local squirrels, happily munching on a sunflower seed. Several birds showed up as well; the lot was quite active this morning, and it remained that way for most of the day. I don't imagine that there's much left but seed hulls and bits of millet right now. I got some pretty decent pics out of this little feeding experiment, although the birds are reluctant to come close when I have the screen up. Yeah, like my lumbering primate body could possibly climb out the window fast enough to catch them. Anyway, I've still got plenty of birdseed so no doubt I'll do this again.
